NETMITT was created when friends, family and acquaintances starts to tongue twist on how to pronounce my surname, how to spell it is another story and much more stories.
In Photography or in any thing it is quite short, unique and easy to remember.
www.netmitt.de has been reserved since April 2008 and my webspace has been there and inactive since April 2005 before I even bought my first Dslr.
And now, I want to use it to the fullest together with my photography and who knows what I can find at the end of the rainbow.
I was born and raised in the Philippines and permanently residing in Germany, western part of the european countries . I speak, read and write german but it is the best way for me to do this page in english.
My photography is varied and I have always loved it, a Visual Rhythm. For the loved of it, I still have all these old and now considered rare cameras left by my late father who is also a one time hobbyist. A Kodak Colorburst 250 Polaroid with electronic flash, a Kodak Pocket Instamatic 20, where the flash is a small disposable cube, a Canon prima BF 35mm 1:4.5 lens, a Kodak 35VR and the now classic Yashica Electro 35.
An expensive, but rewarding passion and it is even more expensive if took it seriously. Photography has comforted me in those times when idleness, boredom, saddness and deep lonesome hovers my thought and occupied my day. There is always a reason to be on my feet, exploring and thinking.
I learn how to appreciate the beauty in everything, be it nature, sunset, forest, grave stones, people, insects, living or not. There is always a beauty in everything. As what Publilius Syrus said, ``The eyes are not responsible when the mind does the seeing.´´
I am very much happy with my Olympus E510 and I hope I can upgrade someday with an E5, God help me on this. Although I have a CS3-4 and some other software, often I just use my old Photoshop Elements 3 or my Olympus Masters software and I am very much satisfied with the two.
I never attended workshops regarding post processing techniques or how to with a digital camera. I am not a workshop type of a person. Everything are self taught thru reading and the learning by doing method and a lot of imaginations, frustrations, practices, patience and criticisms and the passion for the craft. The only seminar I ever attended and gained much knowledge was a studio lighting seminar, Fashion and all its basics. As what photography is all about, Light. And the rest is all up to me.
Once in a while I do digital art, if a strong desire urges me and I also post process my images, but not as often as before, only if it is really necessary.
